How to Design a Facebook Cover Photo, using your Premade or Custom Graphics

Hey Pretty Pickles!

Here is another quick and simple tutorial for my vector design clients, students and/or design newbies!

In this video, I go over how to quickly and easily create a nice looking Facebook Cover, using the graphics that I provide, and Photoshop Elements. What good are graphics if you don’t know how to use them, right!? 🙂 Enjoy!

A few additional notes—

  • Since people look at your covers quite often from mobile devices, you may want to find a template that shows the safe lines for a mobile friendly image layout. Here is a link to one!
  • Also, it is a good idea to save your final Facebook Cover Photo image as a PNG file as well as a PSD and JPG file, especially if you are using a lot of text and graphic elements. You may find that loading the PNG file will give you a clearer image on your live Facebook page, opposed to the JPG format. Facebook is one of those sites that has sub-par image quality, so you may have to play with it a bit. 🙂
